Esperance Chalet Village
In my opinion, you can’t go to Esperance and not stay at the Esperance Chalet Village. These beautiful A-frames were the perfect mix of both cosy and coastal.
ECV is located on a beautiful property on the edge of the town. There is a range of different sized chalets and cabins that can accomodate up to four people. This includes a family sized cottage and a rustic cabin with a bathtub.
The large A-frame was our cabin of choice and served as the perfect base for our week in Esperance. These cabins feature a kitchenette, lounge area, and ensuite downstairs, a staircase that leads to a loft-style bedroom with a balcony, ours overlooked Bandy Creek. We stayed during the Christmas holiday period and though booked out, the village itself was still very quiet and peaceful.
Petit Eco Cabin
Petit Eco Cabin is a stunning timber cabin, tucked away on Windows Estate – a certified organic vineyard in Yallingup. The Cabin boasts the most incredible views of the surrounding vineyards and lake. This cabin was built with sustainability in mind, with the timber inside the cabin sourced from fallen trees from a family farm. Some other eco-friendly features include a rainwater tank to capture fresh water and solar panels to provide hot water.
This was a stay we enjoyed during winter. When I wasn’t soaking in the hot water of the outdoor 1940s vintage bathtub, I was inside cuddled up by the fireplace that doubles as a baker’s oven. Another of my favourite features is the incredible waterfall window that is perfectly positioned at the foot of the bed. Every evening, I lay in bed taking in the view of the gum trees and night sky.
Whether you’re seeking a relaxing escape or are looking to explore the beauty of the Margaret River region, Petit Eco Cabin offers the perfect luxurious escape for a romantic weekend or mid-week stay.
Heyscape
Heyscape was my first ever tiny home experience and the beginning of my obsession. These tiny homes offer a unique and comfortable way to experience the great outdoors. Think camping, but with all the comforts of home.
These tiny homes are located in various secluded locations across Western Australia, such as on farmland and vineyards. We stayed in the Avon Valley Cabins on two separate occasions, in cabins Jack and Ashleigh, and both times woke up to the sight of sheep grazing right outside the bedroom window.
These cabins come with every thing you need for a great weekend away, including high quality linen, towels, kitchen cookware, utensils, books and boardgames. All you need to bring is your own food and drinks.
Serenity Gully Glamping
Located just outside Bridgetown is Serenity Gully, an adults-only luxury glamping experience. The property boasts three luxurious tents, each situated on a secluded hill with breathtaking panoramic views of the 478-acre property. These tents feature a stunning outdoor stone bathtub, comfy king sized bed, ensuite and kitchenette, cosy winter fireplace, and an outdoor fire pit.
We stayed in the Yira tent, which has the best views for sunrise. We spent an incredible three nights here and started each day relaxing in the outdoor tub with a coffee, watching the mist roll through the valley and up the hill.
