If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you know I LOVE an outdoor bath. In fact, I’ve been known to book my accommodation solely based on the bath situation. As a tribute to my favourites, I’ve put together this post featuring some of the best outdoor baths, listed in no particular order.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
1. Stillwood Retreat
Set on five acres among the Karri Trees, Stillwood Retreat is a luxury, adults only haven near Denmark. This place features a stunning outdoor claw foot tub and a luxurious two person tub indoors. The toughest choice you’ll face here is deciding which tub to soak in first.
2. Cleves Hut
Cleves Hut offers a rustic farm stay in a picturesque valley along the Blackwood River. Spanning 790 hectares of lush hills, unique bushland, and wildlife, it’s perfect for slow mornings. Start your day in the luxe outdoor tub with a coffee, taking in the views of grazing cows, or end the day here with a glass of wine while soaking in the glowing paddocks.
3. Petit Eco Cabin
Petit Eco Cabins is a beautiful timber cabin tucked away on Windows Estate, a certified organic vineyard in Yallingup. This stunning metal outdoor bath is perfectly positioned to overlook the lake, with views of the surrounding vineyards.
4. Walk Talk Taste Margaret River
Walk Talk Taste’s Luxury Glamping Experience, in Margaret River delivers a luxurious farm stay in wine country. The highlight is the beautifully designed ‘bush bath,’ a claw foot tub nestled in the forest, surrounded by candles and fairy lights.
5. Hidden Cabins Margot
Margot sits high on the plains of an old dairy farm turned regenerative retreat in the Ferguson Valley. This dreamy outdoor bath here is best enjoyed with a wine and cheese platter while taking in the expansive views of the land. If I ever own property, I’m building my own tiny cabin retreat just like this one.
6. Little Hop House
Nestled amongst the green, rolling hills of the Preston River Valley in southwest Western Australia, is Little Hop House. Situated on a working hop farm, the outdoor claw foot tub here is the perfect spot to end the day. Enjoy the view of the rolling hills and watch the cows and sheep graze as the sun sets.
7. Serenity Gully Glamping
Serenity Gully Glamping offers a unique and luxurious off grid eco glamping getaway nestled in the peaceful hills above Bridgetown. The outdoor bath is located on the deck of the glamping tent and is the ideal spot for sunset and sunrise views, listening to the birds sing, and watching the mist fill the valley below.
Queensland.
8. Julia Creek Artesian Baths
The outdoor tub that started my obsession, Julia Creek Artesian Baths are located at Julia Creek Caravan Park. The water, extracted from bores over 900 metres deep and heated to 38 to 41 degrees Celsius, is rich in minerals like sulphur, calcium, and magnesium. These bathhouses were the perfect spot to unwind in the outback after a long day of driving.
Make sure you check back regularly – I’ll be updating this post as I find more stunning tubs to soak in.
